FREDERICTON '43 KENNETH BAIRD (BSc) of Ottawa, ON, was invested into the Order of Canada. '58 JOSEPH DAIGLE (BCL, LLD'00) of Dieppe, NB, was appointed member of the Order of Canada. '61 GREGORY TRACEY (BScEng) of Gainesville, FL, and his wife, Louise (University of Florida, BSc, BCN) were hiking in the Haute Loire region of France in May and June 2015, and met a trail maintainer who offered to drive them to a hotel in Monistrol-sur-Loire. They were amazed to learn that his son, OLIVIER VALENTIN (MScEng), was a 2002 graduate of UNB and is employed by la societe SAUR in France. They never expected to hear the words 'Fredericton, New Brunswick' in a remote area of France. @ MARLENE UNGER, neé Parker, (BA, BEd'66) of Fredericton, NB, was invested into the Order of New Brunswick. '63 CAMILLE ALBERT (BScEng) of Fredericton, NB, was invested into the Order of New Brunswick. '64 FRANCES KELSEY (DSc) of Chevy Chase, MD, was invested into the Order of Canada. '67 STAN MUNROE (BA, MSc'69) of Port Morien, NS, is an information officer for Dealind International and is editor of DbI Review. He completed Manifestations of Congenital Rubella Syndrome in Canada - A Follow-up Study for the Canadian Dealind Association. Stan lives on Cape Breton Island with wife Carol and continues to run the Port Morien Rectory B&B. @ '70 CAROL LOUGHREY, neé Ashfield, (BBA) of Fredericton, NB, was appointed to the board of the National Capital Commission and was invested into the Order of New Brunswick. '71 DAVID SMITH (LLB) of Moncton, NB, was awarded a doctor of civil laws degree by Acadia University. @ '72 CHARLES KINGSTON (BA, BEd'73, LLB'76) of Fredericton, NB, was appointed Queen's Counsel. ANDREW MCPHERSON (BA) of Saint John, NB, and his wife Karen (neé Brooks, BA'73) have retired and returned to Saint John after 40-year careers living throughout the US and Canada. @ PAUL OWENS (BBA) of Edmonton, AB, was awarded the Libby Slater Award for his contribution to pension law and the pension industry from the International Pension and Employee Benefits Lawyers Association at its 2015 convention in Brussels, Belgium. He has been re-appointed as secretary to the board of directors for the Edmonton-based Foundation of Administrative Justice. @ HERE IS WHAT SOME OF OUR ALUMNI HAVE BEEN UP TO THIS YEAR @ RECEIVED FROM READERS EVERY FIVE-YEAR MILESTONE IS CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION AT UNB. FOR THIS YEAR'S HOMECOMING, ALUMNI WHO RECEIVED THEIR DEGREES IN YEARS ENDING IN "6" AND "1" ARE INVITED TO RETURN TO OUR FREDERICTON CAMPUS TO RECONNECT, RENEW AND CELEBRATE.
